Clermont and Stade de Reims could well produce a very decent game at Stade Gabriel Montpied on Saturday, with both clubs in good shape and each bringing different strengths to the table. David Guion's hosts have won their last two matches, beating Montpellier HSC 2-1 on the road before a 1-0 home victory over EA Guingamp.
The Yellow and Blues are similarly in good form. The visitors have been in particularly good form since the restart, going two wins and three draws in their last five outings since a 5-3 thrashing of Pau FC put them back on track.

Usaï has had to get to know his new group in a shorter time period and has done a brilliant job since coming in on 21st May 2026, with his team looking drilled and difficult to beat.
The Red and Whites favour a more compact structure, aggressive pressing and fast vertical play, so they could get some good opportunities to counter-attack if Clermont give the ball away.
