This is a friendly in name only for the Caribbean neighbours, with Dominica in Nations League B Group A for the 2026/27 season alongside Guyana, Puerto Rico and the Cayman Islands while Anguilla are set to drop into Nations League C Group B. The home team are the favorites and look to have the edge in terms of quality and structure, so we will take them to win the game at the odds-on price for the result.
But there is a decent amount of value in the bet on a cagey, defensive match with Both Teams To Score No and Under 2.5 Goals coming in at 1.4 and 3.16 respectively.
Kurt Herd's charges have had a mixed start to the year with a 0-0 draw at Sint Maarten followed by a 2-0 defeat to Guyana, but two one-goal friendly defeats in late 2025 do not reflect as well on the players. - Glenson Prince brings experience and leadership as well as being the shot-stopper that has held up their defence for the past few years.
- Germain Hughes is a good defensive organiser and they will need him to keep this game compact if they are to have a chance.
- They do have a pressing outlet in Jonathan Guishard for the few times the visitors do get the ball in their half while Luke Paris offers a set-piece threat.
Visitors' profile
The visitors are a young, inexperienced side with Ewan Gunter's youth pathway showing through in their recent results. There has been no disgrace in two draws with the same opposition in the 2022 Nations League and a penalty shootout win over Turks & Caicos on penalties in World Cup qualifying in 2024.
But the reality is that, with a squad full of youth, Anguilla are underdogs here and have to be.
Dominica should have enough to win
Briel Thomas can be a good ballplayer on his day, but it may be a long evening for him against a solid Anguilla side. Audel Laville and Troy Jules have some energy and movement up top to keep things moving, but we like the fact that Dominica are set to come out on top in this one.
So a home win looks like the way to go, probably 1-0 or 2-0 to the Nature Boys because they have not had much to boast about in the goals department in 2026.
