- Team form: Rangers have won their last five games in all competitions and have an unbeaten record away from home this season (W3, D1).
- Recent meetings: Dundee have won their last two games, but Rangers have won two of the last three meetings between the teams with the Dark Blues unable to win any of the previous three at home.
- Player note: Joe Westley has scored three goals in his last seven Premiership 2026/2027 appearances, including two of Dundee's last five.
Rangers on a roll
Form and odds
Glasgow Rangers FC should not be opposed for the win when they visit Dundee FC at Scot Foam Stadium at Dens Park on Saturday and it is no surprise to see the bookmakers have them so heavily backed up at 1.35. Rangers have won five consecutive games, including their most recent away trip to arch-rivals Celtic FC when they triumphed 1-0 and a 3-1 home victory over Kilmarnock in the Premiership 2026/2027. Rangers will arrive in good form at Dens Park and look to extend their winning run to six.
Manager and structure
Derek McInnes has been in charge of the Light Blues since June 2026 and has quickly put his stamp on the side with a tough, compact and structure-first team that will make it difficult for their opponents on Saturday.
Dundee getting better
Dundee FC are having their moments too, however, with their recent form reading two wins, one draw and two defeats from their last five, but they have won their previous two games.
Steven Pressley has been in the Dark Blues dugout since June 2025 and has been slowly building them up to be a bit more aggressive than they were under previous regimes. The hosts will push their fullbacks high up the field, which brings extra energy into the attack but can leave gaps if not controlled properly. Dundee will still look to Joe Westley, who is their top goal threat this season with three goals in seven Premiership 2026/2027 games, to benefit from the change in approach and feed off the extra bodies they will have around the opponents' goal.
Rangers to win but Dark Blues will give it a shot
He could put Rangers a goal ahead at some point in this contest, which they will look to manage carefully until the final whistle. So the away side must be supported to continue their good run with another win, but Dundee are coming together and will put in a good effort to make this a competitive game rather than a stroll for the visitors.
The odds on both teams to score are also worth a play, but at 1.75 we are still taking the Rangers for the victory.
- Dundee have scored six goals in four home league games this term, so they can score at Dens to get on the board while Rangers have conceded only two away goals in the same number of Premiership 2026/2027 matches.
- But Rangers have the momentum and McInnes has a trusted finisher in Lawrence Shankland, who has scored three in five games this year.
