- Away form: Liverpool have won 100% of their UEFA Champions League 2026/2027 away games this season.
- Recent run: Fenerbahce have won just one of their last five games, losing three.
- Home CL form: Fenerbahce have drawn two and lost none of their two UEFA Champions League 2026/2027 home games, but have still conceded three times.
Fenerbache to feel Liverpool’s bite
Fenerbahce SK are in a spot of bother in the UEFA Champions League 2026/2027, sitting 31st of 32 in the standings after picking up 2 points from 3 games. The Sarı Kanaryalar have followed back-to-back defeats with that result, losing 2-1 away to Galatasaray and suffering a 1-2 home loss to Goztepe in their last two outings. Dirk Kuyt has been the head coach of Fenerbahce since 28 October 2026 and he's built this team around a compact low block and quick counters.
This has made them difficult to beat at home, but the fact that they have conceded three goals in these two home games in Turkey suggests that Liverpool can be the team to break them. Andoni Iraola has overseen a high-intensity, high-turnover game plan since taking over the Liverpool bench on 1 July 2026, and their approach should invite pressure on Fenerbahce, and leave the visitors room to be their typical pressing, turn-taking selves.
Reds can edge it
With Liverpool coming in with the edge and priced at 1.53 to get the win, I'm going for Over 2.5 goals at 1.48 and Both Teams to Score – Yes at 1.57 for this clash at Chobani Stadyumu Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Spor Kompleksi in Turkiye.
Recent form:
Iraola's Liverpool were undone by Arsenal 1-0 at home at the weekend, but they did take Chelsea to penalties following a 1-1 draw just the week before that, and this should be another game where they are in the game.
Prediction:
I do think the Reds will prevail, but Fenerbahce do have a goal in them with Mason Greenwood adding a spark with one assist from one appearance. The 2-1 or 3-1 style contest looks the most likely, as Liverpool will be the more likely winners but Fenerbahce should be able to nick a goal and make a proper game of it.
- Archie Brown is Fenerbahce's main threat in this competition, having scored one goal in one appearance from his centre-back position.
- Alexis Mac Allister is Liverpool's top scorer, having netted one in one.
