- League positions: Bodø/Glimt are 3rd with 26 points from 12 Eliteserien 2026 games, Fredrikstad are 10th with 14 from 12
- Form (Bodø/Glimt): Bodø/Glimt have won 4 and drawn 1 of their last 5 matches, winning their last 2 in a row
- Form (Fredrikstad): Fredrikstad have won 1, drawn 2 and lost 2 of their last 5, losing their last 2 in a row
A familiar foe for Bodø/Glimt
The Travel Blues should have a field day on Friday when they travel to Aspmyra Stadion to take on an old foe, Bodø/Glimt.
In contrast, Fredrikstad have struggled of late, drawing two and losing two of their last four games, with their most recent results a 3-1 friendly defeat at Vålerenga and a 2-0 loss at home to Lillestrøm in Eliteserien 2026.
- Bodø/Glimt hammered Fredrikstad 5-0 in Eliteserien 2025 seven months ago, a result that will still be fresh in the minds of the hosts as they prepare to face the same opponents.
- The head-to-head record heavily favours the hosts with both of the last two meetings won by Bodø/Glimt and the favourites are understandably marked up at 4/3/20 for this latest clash.
- Bodø/Glimt are in good form, having won four and drawn one of their last five matches, including their two most recent matches, a 4-1 friendly win at Molde and a 2-0 Eliteserien 2026 victory at KFUM Oslo.
System vs transition
Bodø/Glimt system
The difference in styles of these two sides should make for an intriguing clash at Aspmyra Stadion on Friday.
Kjetil Knutsen has overseen his Bodø/Glimt side since taking over in July 2022 and his system is now very settled.
It is an aggressive system that does not give up much territory but it is also a system that allows the ball to travel vertically at speed when possession is won, creating overloads in wide areas and causing havoc in the transition.
Fredrikstad transition
Casper Røjkjær is a much newer presence at Fredrikstad, taking charge in May 2026, and the Travel Blues are very much a work in progress as they try to play a more possession based, high-intensity game.
Fredrikstad will need to get their pressing cycle right on Friday or risk being picked off by the fast-attacking home side and they will also need to be aware that the only way back into the game if it does unravel is to maintain their own width in possession and avoid being pinned into their own half.
The best bet
Bodø/Glimt should dominate tempo and territory on Friday and the odds are correct to make the favourites the best way to go here.
Fredrikstad have failed to win their last two away games against Bodø/Glimt and The Blue Ones could prove to be a heavyweight matchup for the visitors.
The BTTS market is live at 1.84 and there are a few reasons not to play, but the under at 3.4 is also interesting as if Bodø/Glimt can lock this down early then they are unlikely to need too many goals to finish it.
