Halifax Town are the slight favourites at 2.02, although we feel The Urchins should be a shade lower in the odds than 3.18, which leaves the draw at 3.44 and that is the obvious play for Saturday's National League matchup.
Both teams to score is drifting a little, but it's still very close to an even 1.62 and we feel there is still a little value in under 2.5 goals at 1.96, as this should be a tight game. Zak Gilsenan leads the way for the home side with three National League goals so far in 2026/2027, while Joseph Kizzi has three to his name for Hornchurch, two of which have come in their last five matches. Ben Tollitt has also been in good form for Halifax with two goals in their last five and he can provide some bite in the final third.
Shaymen have the edge at The Shay
Halifax have won two of their three home matches in the National League 2026/2027, losing just one, which shows the ability to be stubborn at The Shay. AFC have won two of their three away games in the league, but are conceding 2.33 goals per game on the road.
Our belief is that the most likely outcome of this clash is a single-goal win for Halifax, but the value lies in the safety of the stalemate as this should be a very close contest.
