- Defence: Manchester United Women have conceded only eight goals in eight home league games (1.00 per game).
- Head-to-head: Everton Women have failed to win in their last two away games against United.
- Form: Manchester United Women have won three and lost two of their last five matches in all competitions.
United can overpower Everton in Manchester
Second-placed Manchester United Women (34 points from 16 games) have enjoyed another solid Super League Women 2025/2026 campaign so far, while Everton Women (20 points from 17 matches) are in sixth after a mid-table campaign.
Phelan’s players have won four of their last five in all competitions, but Manchester United are a class apart in this division and are rightly favored at 1.3 to win on Saturday. United have won two of their last two home games, while Everton have won two and lost one of their last three away from home, but the hosts have a superior overall home record (W4, D3, L1) and a much better head-to-head record.
Hosts are the class of the division
Head-to-head and recent United form
Marc Skinner’s side have won five of their last five against Everton Women in all competitions and won the away game 4-1 five months ago in the Super League Women 2024/2025.
United are coming into this game after a 2-0 home Champions League win over Atletico Madrid, followed by back-to-back away defeats to Chelsea Women in the FA Cup and League Cup. Their form at Old Trafford has been much better, however, and they have won their last two home games.
Everton's away threat
Everton Women have scored 13 goals in nine away league games so should be a threat on Saturday, and their new coach Scott Phelan has been attempting to get them playing a more direct and attacking game since his appointment.
Everton can be dangerous
This may be a change from the more patient, possession-based style of his predecessor that allowed Everton to frustrate opponents and play on the break, but his new team are still well organised and compact when they have to be.
- Phelan’s side have been scoring goals, with Martina Fernandez bagging two of their six goals in their last five, and Honoka Hayashi is in line for another start after hitting four Super League Women goals in 16 appearances.
- Jessica Park is United’s main goal threat, with six goals in 16 Super League Women 2025/2026 games, but there are other stars in their ranks that could come good.
Free-flowing United can dominate
Skinner is a tactical magician and his United side can play in a fluid 4-2-3-1 formation that relies on the technical ability of their midfielders to control possession and hit their forwards on the transition.
The hosts can dominate possession and create the majority of the chances on Saturday, but it will take time for Everton to set up and frustrate them before they can look to break with numbers. United’s overall quality and consistency should see them home and make the odds-on price look fair value.
