- Home form: Paksi FC are unbeaten in NB I 2026/2027 at home (W1, D1) and have already scored six goals.
- Recent form: FC Ujpest have W2, D2 and L1 in their last five in all competitions.
- Key players: Paksi's Milan Peto and Ujpest's Aljosa Matko are both in fine form in front of goal.
Both sides set to play their way
Odds and standings
The oddsmakers are in full agreement that Paksi FC should win Friday's NB I 2026-2027 game against FC Ujpest, but there are some compelling reasons to side with the visitors at a good price on the double chance bet. The hosts have started the campaign in reasonable fashion and sit seventh in the table with four points from their opening three games, although Ujpest are five places higher up with seven from four.
But Gyorgy Bognar's men are the favourites here at 1.7, with the Lilák second favourites at 4.25 and the draw way down the odds at 4.05.
Tactics and style
Bognar has been in charge since 14 February 2023 and he has kept Paksi playing in an attack-first, transition-heavy style from their back-three base. Ujpest are more pragmatic and compact, although they have been getting results away from home, where they have won one and lost one of their two league games to date.
Their average of 2.50 goals scored per game and 2.00 conceded also make sense in a fixture where both sides will look to play their natural way. Bognar's team prefer to push the ball forward through their wing-backs and quick vertical breaks, while Ujpest play in a medium-to-low block and like to build up at a slower pace.
Peto on a hot streak
This stylistic clash should give Paksi more room to operate in transition, but Ujpest's compactness should keep this game close enough that the double chance market looks very appealing. Ujpest have won one of their last two league games and can certainly earn a point here against a Paksi side that has also been drawing matches recently.
The last head-to-head game in NB I 2025/2026 finished 0-0 at Ujpest's ground and the split of one win each and one draw over the past three contests is enough to tip the scales towards the visitors here.
Both teams to score at 1.52 looks a live option, but we will opt for under 2.5 goals at 2.47 as this could be a tight, tactical battle.
- Jozsef Szalai has been Paksi's main danger man this term with four NB I 2026-2027 goals in three games, but Milan Peto has four goals in Paksi's last five and can lead his team to victory on Friday.
- Ujpest's top-scorer so far is Aljosa Matko with two in four and Etienne Amenyido has three assists in four, keeping the attack ticking over while Zoltan Szelesi's team build from the back.
- Szelesi has been in charge of the Lilák since 31 December 2025 and he has made them into a solid, if not spectacular, side.
