- Head-to-head: PSV have won the last 5 Eredivisie head-to-head meetings against Feyenoord.
- Home form: PSV are undefeated at home in Eredivisie this season (W3, D1).
- Away form: Feyenoord are undefeated away from home in the Eredivisie this season (W5).
Big game in the Netherlands
The early stages of the 2026-2027 Eredivisie are suggesting that the championship race will once again be a two-horse race as PSV Eindhoven sit third with 19 points from nine games and Feyenoord top the table with 23 from nine. With both sides in contrasting form, PSV on a two-game losing streak following a 1-0 defeat to RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League and 2-1 away defeat at ADO Den Haag, while Feyenoord come into the game in red-hot form, winning their last five games in a row, it could be a chess match at Philips Stadion on Sunday.
Boeren are on a two-game skid and Feyenoord will fancy their chances against Peter Bosz's men, who they lost to 3-0 here in this fixture eight months ago.
PSV have the momentum
Odds and predictions
PSV are 1.9 favorites here and that price seems too short for the hosts, but Feyenoord's price of 3.3 still respects the fact that they are four points ahead in the Eredivisie standings. The draw looks more likely than the odds suggest, but we're going to chance PSV to keep their unbeaten home record in the Eredivisie going with a double result of win or draw.
Tactical battle
The game could be won or lost on transitions as both are similar in size, but the teams have a slightly different identity, which could make for a proper heavyweight clash.
PSV will always press high up the field and their game is based on getting the ball in the wide channels, overloading the half-spaces and then trying to counter-attack with their speed. Feyenoord, meanwhile, are more patient with their possession, but they do like to get the ball into the wide areas, which triggers their press.
Anis Hadj Moussa can make the difference
This will be a very competitive match and we do not want to get involved with a result bet as Feyenoord have failed to win any of their last three away games against PSV. The goal markets look live, though, as Feyenoord are a real threat in the final third.
Guus Til is PSV's top scorer with four goals in seven games, however, so we're taking the over 2.5 goals bet at 1.33 here and both teams to score at the same price.
- Nacho Ferri has contributed 6 of them across Feyenoord's last five-game winning streak, which includes a 3-2 home win over Calcio Como in the UEFA Champions League and 4-3 win at Telstar in the Eredivisie.
- PSV's Sven Mijnans has scored four of his side's eight goals across their last five matches and, although they have lost two in a row, are capable of pulling out a win here.
