Scunthorpe United are 20th in the National League with 10 points from their first 10 games and that means the Iron have plenty of work to do to pull away from the danger zone. Their last three results perfectly illustrate how things have gone for them this campaign, losing 1-2 at home to Boreham Wood, then 0-1 away at Hornchurch, before bouncing back with a 4-1 win at home to Hartlepool United.
Andy Butler has got his side playing well since taking over in the summer, but Scunthorpe will need to maintain their momentum to stay clear of trouble this weekend.
Forest Green Rovers are 12th in the National League with 14 points from their opening 10 games, leaving The Green four points better off than Saturday's hosts. Rovers have a small, but useful, buffer over Scunthorpe as a result, although their recent form has been more workmanlike than sparkling, with two wins, two draws and one defeat from their last five.

Scunthorpe, on the other hand, are much more of a possession-first team who will try to control games using their 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 system to overload wide areas and get behind the opposition. The clash of styles could make for an interesting chess match if Forest Green can get up close and personal with the ball in Scunthorpe's half, however, the home side should have enough bite to make a mark here.
