The odds are a complete mess for this Saturday's 1. Division 2026 clash between fourth-placed Stabaek (30 points from 15 matches) and 14th-placed FC Lyn Oslo (14) at Nadderud Stadion, Norway. The hosts are favored to win at 1.5, Lyn are priced up at 5.08 and the draw at 4.75. Obviously, we will be siding with the hosts here but the price looks a bit short, so we will be looking to add other selections to boost the returns.
Stabaek will be riding a wave of confidence into this game as they have won their last three in a row and Kjell Andre Thu's rebuilding job is beginning to take shape. His side are playing with structure, control and firepower in the 4-3-3 and they are proving a hard team to rattle when the passing rhythm is in full flow.
Their most recent three results have been a 2-0 home win over Bryne, a 5-2 win away at Ranheim and a 6-0 mauling of Hoedd in their own backyard, so they are scoring plenty of goals and can be ruthless in the final third. They also have an excellent creator in William Wendt, who has seven assists in Stabaek's last five games and can open up any defence from his central midfield position.

Style and approach
Lyn are a different beast altogether, as they are much more direct and high energy, pressing with bite and looking to force turnovers in the opponent's half. Magnus Aadland has been in charge since 4th June 2025 and his men have certainly not been shy of a fight during that time. However, their recent form has been mixed at best and they will probably just play their part in a lively derby, but they lack the quality to trouble the hosts for the full 90 minutes.

The most likely way this one goes is for Stabaek to dominate but for Lyn's press and goal threat to keep it competitive in patches. Aadland's side should not be underestimating this game, as Stabaek have failed to win either of the last two home meetings, so we are siding with the home side to edge a lively game.
