- Recent home form: Stevenage Borough have won two of their last three games at the Lamex.

Stevenage have what it takes to stop the Tangerines
Two sides on very different trajectories come head-to-head in League One 2025-2026 when Blackpool FC make the long trip to Hertfordshire to face Stevenage Borough on Monday.
Boro’s season has been a success by any standards, having taken 60 points from 38 games to sit seventh in the table, while Blackpool have struggled in the bottom half of the table. The Seasiders are in 20th, with their 45 points from 40 games, facing pressure near the relegation zone.
Stevenage have won three and lost two of their last five, although two of those victories came at home, including a 1-0 win over Reading last time out. They have been more solid at home than on their travels, with 11 wins, six draws and just two defeats at the Lamex.
Stevenage are a hard side to break down
Blackpool's system
Ian Evatt took over at Bloomfield Road in October 2025 and has overseen a shift to a back-three system that has the Tangerines sitting deep, dominating possession and overloading the wings with their wing-backs, which often leads to them dominating possession, but struggling to break down teams.
Stevenage's strengths
Stevenage, on the other hand, are a much more pragmatic side who Alex Revell has made compact and solid since taking the reins in April 2024. They are extremely difficult to get the ball off and extremely dangerous on the counter-attack, while their clinical nature when they turn teams over or win second balls from set pieces can be lethal.
Blackpool lack the bite to hurt Stevenage
Blackpool have managed 17 goals in 20 away League One games, which is a huge issue for the club as they try to survive. Stevenage have conceded just 11 goals in 19 home games, so should be able to shut Blackpool out on Monday.
Stevenage have the form, home advantage, defensive solidity and goal-getting ability to take the win against a Blackpool side that have failed to win in three on the road, drawing once and losing twice. 1.88 looks a reasonable price for a Boro victory.
- Jamie Reid has been Boro’s talisman, scoring 13 League One goals in 36 appearances this term and bagging three of his side’s last four.
- Blackpool have a reliable targetman in Ashley Fletcher, who has 15 goals in 38 League One appearances, and Niall Ennis has chipped in with two in the last five.
