- Riga FC have won all six home games in all competitions (W6), scoring 3.33 goals per game and conceding just 1.00 goal per game.
- KI Klaksvík have won two of their three away games in all competitions (W2, L1), scoring 2.00 and conceding 1.67 goals per game.
- Riga FC are the in-form side, having won seven, drawn two and lost one of their last ten matches in all competitions.
First-leg was a stalemate and this could be a nervous night for the hosts
Riga FC are the strong favorites at 39/100 for Thursday's game against KI Klaksvík, but the visitors are not a bad bet at 61/10 and the draw is also overpriced at 37/10.
The head-to-head is all square after a 0-0 draw in UEFA Conference League Qualification 2026 yesterday, so there is still plenty of work to do for both sides in this second leg at Skonto Stadium in Latvia.
Adrian Gula's men have been in good form of late, drawing their last two after a 1-1 away draw with Gyori ETO FC in UEFA Conference League Qualification 2026 and the 0-0 away draw with KI.
Gula, who has been in charge of the hosts since 14th January 2025, has got them playing with discipline and a possession-based system, with a 4-3-3 formation that is solid at the back and can rotate the ball in the middle.
The tempo is measured and they slowly strangle opponents into mistakes. Iago Siqueira is their main goal threat with three in five in UEFA Conference League Qualification 2026, but Caio Ferreira is another dangerous player with two of Riga's six goals in their last five in all competitions.
Magnus Powell took charge of KI on 1st January 2025 and has had them playing an attractive, direct game with an emphasis on getting numbers forward and hunting balls in behind the defence.
KI can switch between a 3-4-3 and 4-2-3-1, but the aim is always to overload the flanks, get the ball in early and force turnovers in the opposition half. It should be a nice contrast between possession and direct football on Thursday, with Riga looking to control the game and KI looking to poach balls and run at the Riga defence.
This could go either way and it might take one moment of magic to decide it. If Riga can control the centre and keep KI from exploiting the wide lanes, they should have enough to nick it, but if not, then it could be a tense and nervy 90 minutes.
