- Head-to-head: Queretaro have won two and Juarez none of the last three Liga MX head-to-heads (Drawn 1).
- Form: FC Juarez are without a win in their last five matches (Drawn 2, Lost 3).
- Home form: Gallos Blancos Queretaro have won four and Juarez have lost five of the last seven Liga MX 2026/2027 home games.
Transitions will tell the tale
Recent meeting and standings
The last meeting of these sides finished 1-1 at Estadio La Corregidora in Liga MX 2025/2026 and it is difficult to see either side gaining a strong grip in Saturday's reverse fixture at Estadio Benito Juarez, Mexico.
Queretaro are the superior side and higher in the 2026/2027 table (8th on 20 points from 12 matches) than their hosts who sit 18th on five points from 14 games.
Home form and recent results
But Juarez are solid enough to avoid a blowout defeat as long as they keep things tight and the game is controlled.
Bravos are averaging just 0.71 goals at home in 2026/2027 and conceding an average of 1.71 – hardly ideal figures for a team playing at home to a side that is better at exploiting transition situations than they are.
- Bravos' recent results have seen them record a 5-0 away loss to Cruz Azul, a 0-1 home defeat to Atlante and a 1-1 away draw with Necaxa – a run that demonstrates their inability to hurt opponents with any consistency.
- Pedro Caixinha has had a long period in charge – since 4 December 2025 – to get the team playing his way, but they still look blunt in the final third.
Gallos Blancos can nick it
Esteban Gonzalez has done a decent job with Gallos Blancos, keeping them compact, direct and dangerous in transition since taking over on 1 January 2026.
They have conceded nine goals in seven away matches in Liga MX 2026/2027 and don't have the possession or quality to be able to sit deep and deny their hosts, so an away win looks the sharpest play here at 2.16.
The visitors have lost their last two games – a 5-0 away defeat to Santos Laguna and a 2-1 away loss to Atletico de San Luis – but have travelled well in Liga MX 2026/2027 overall, recording four wins, one draw and two defeats from seven away games. We rate them to nick this even though the hosts have been more solid under Caixinha, who has adapted the team's approach to a 4-2-3-1 or 5-3-2 system that keeps things compact and leaves plenty of space for fast players to run into.
Both teams to Score – No is the play
Goals and attacking threat
Bravos have failed to win either of their two previous home games against Queretaro in Liga MX and the visitors' superior attacking presence is the main reason we believe they will take the points.
Juarez are averaging just 0.71 goals at home in Liga MX 2026/2027 and appear unable to score more than once against compact opposition.
Oscar Estupinan is the sharpest finisher in Juarez's team with six goals in ten Liga MX 2026/2027 appearances and his playmaker Jose Luis Rodriguez has supplied three assists in nine games.
But they are no match for Gallos Blancos' Ali Avila, who has bagged four times in nine and two in the past five.
Betting angles
Both Teams to Score – No at 2.2 looks a good bet with Juarez unlikely to break through against a compact road side, while Over 2.5 goals at 1.7 looks about right for a game that is likely to be livened up by the two teams' contrasting approaches and transition play.
