- Odds: Levski (2.65) are a touch shorter than Borac (2.67) in the odds for this UEFA Champions League qualifying tie with the draw (3.05) a slight underdog.
- Form: Levski have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five while Borac have won four and drawn one of theirs.
Steel and solidity will decide the winner
Two of the steeliest teams in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bulgaria respectively will clash at Gradski Stadion on Tuesday in what should be a very even UEFA Champions League qualification tie.
Borac's compact approach
Luka Juricic has been the key player for Borac over the last few weeks, scoring three of their five goals in their last five games as the hosts have stayed unbeaten. Head coach Vinko Marinovic took over on 21 July 2025 and has built a team with a compact, solid core that can absorb pressure, play possession football without much risk and hit their opponents on the break and in the air.
The last three games have been a perfect example of this style working as they beat FK Zeljeznicar Sarajevo 1-0 at home, Radnik Bijeljina 0-0 away and NK Posusje 2-0 at home. Marinovic's men can grind teams down and create chances from set pieces and transition while Juricic does his best work when he is played through early.
Levski's structure
Levski like to have the ball, use it and move their players to create overloads between the lines where Juan Perea can make his moves. Julio Velazquez has built his team to be disciplined and proactive since arriving as head coach on 5 January 2025 and there is a lot of detail and structure to his team, which plays a fluid 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.
Perea has scored two of Levski's four goals in their last five matches and gives them a focal point in tight games.
Lack of goals is the likely trend
The difference in style and culture between the two clubs will be clear to see on Tuesday with Levski looking to get on the ball and keep it while Borac will be just as happy to sit deep, frustrate their opponents and hope they can pounce on the counter-attack.
The draw could easily be the best bet in the match result category, but our main play will be on under 2.5 goals.
- Levski's away results have been controlled rather than explosive as they have averaged 1.40 goals per game scored and 1.00 conceded per game on their travels in all competitions.
- Under 2.5 goals at 1.6 looks the best way to go in this Champions League qualifier as the visitors are likely to keep it tight while hoping for their odd moment of magic to unlock Borac's defence.
- Levski are the slight favorites at 2.65, but the hosts are on a roll and know how to win games at the other end of the scale.
