A fixture of significance and contrast
Osasuna currently sit 12th in the LaLiga 2026/2027 standings with one point from one game, while Getafe are 8th with three points from two games, so the matchup isn't quite a six-pointer yet. However, this has been a pivotal fixture at the end of the season recently, when Getafe won 1-0 at home.
The clash of styles between Luis Miguel Ramis and Jose Bordalás should ensure a tight, physical and transition-heavy game, while the recent head-to-head record suggests Getafe have a solid enough chance of nicking it on Monday.

The two coaches have quite different profiles and it's usually an interesting stylistic contrast when their teams meet. Osasuna are a much more pragmatic, compact side this term, as Ramis is a coach who tends to build his teams to be balanced, low-error and well-organised.
He prefers a two-bank shape (often 4-4-2 or a flat four) that looks to keep things compact, win second balls and strike on transitions and set-pieces rather than sustained spells of possession. His Burgos side were always described as being 'organised' or 'compact' or 'tidy' in the Spanish media last term and his Osasuna have been well drilled into a low-risk shape in the opening weeks of this campaign.
Getafe's pressing and threat
Bordalás' Getafe are a physically aggressive, pressing team that have the sharpest edge in the early-season LaLiga 2026/2027 in Enes Unal (one goal in two). Bordalás's side are a narrow 4-4-2, or a narrow variant, that will press high and with intensity, sustain a high tempo in short phases, target second-ball dominance and convert turnovers into direct, vertical attacks and set-piece chances.
Osasuna have the edge in odds, but Getafe can edge it
The clash between an organised mid-block and an intense press is usually a game of chess, where the team that can control the tempo and win the odd transition or second ball usually comes out on top. I do think Osasuna's price of 2.12 has the value edge over the Draw at 3.1 and Getafe at 3.6, but I wouldn't put much faith in the bookmakers' odds as this is a tricky game to call.

- Under 2.5 goals at 1.53 fits the cagey feel of the fixture, while both teams not to score at 1.7 is also my idea of a solid bet for what should be a grind at the Estadio El Sadar.
