- Odds: The home team RB Leipzig are 1.54 to win, ahead of Frankfurt at 4.85 and the Draw at 4.65.
- Head-to-head: The home team RB Leipzig have won both Bundesliga 2025/2026 head-to-head meetings, most recently winning 3-1 as an away team five months ago.
- Away form: Eintracht Frankfurt have failed to win any of their last three away games to RB Leipzig.
Sides are in similar form in the Bundesliga 2026-2027
This Saturday's game at Red Bull Arena Leipzig is a toss-up in the Bundesliga 2026/2027 standings with Die Adler sitting in tenth spot on five points from their opening four games, and RB Leipzig in ninth place on six points.
It's therefore no surprise that the betting markets have the hosts as a short price with Frankfurt coming in just under 4 to 1, while the draw is also available at a shade under 4 to 1.
Die Adler have been in solid form of late, winning two, drawing two and losing one of their last five matches in all competitions, but they failed to beat Leipzig on any of their last three visits here.
So, the odds-on price for Leipzig is fair enough, but it's not too attractive and it may be better to look elsewhere for value in this one.
Die Roten Bullen have hit the ground running
The bookies are favoring Leipzig despite their mixed recent form, but there's no doubt that the hosts are playing better football under Martin Demichelis.
Tactics
Leipzig's boss is making the most of his talented roster by pressing selectively and getting the ball wide at pace in a high-energy 4-3-3 system. This should see them dominate the ball and pin Eintracht back for large periods of Saturday's contest.
Recent results
The latest results don't tell the whole story for Die Roten Bullen as they were crushed 4-1 in their UEFA Champions League opener at Calcio Como a couple of weeks ago, before comfortably accounting for Hamburger SV 5-0 at home in their most recent Bundesliga game. They were caught out by the pressing game of Bayer Leverkusen in the game prior to that, however, when going down 2-0.
Frankfurt are a goal threat away from home
A 2-2 draw with SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga followed by a 4-0 friendly win over TSV Eintracht Braunschweig last week has Frankfurt notching 13 goals in their last five games. So, if Leipzig are going to stop them scoring, they'll have to work for it.
That's why we think the host side should have enough to eke out a win here, although Frankfurt's recent away form suggests it won't be easy.
- Younes Ebnoutalib has been the main goal threat for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, netting four times in four matches, while Jonathan Burkardt has bagged four goals in his last five outings.
- Leipzig's Antonio Nusa is also on 2 Bundesliga goals in four matches, but he has been quicker to get them.
Both teams to score and goals galore likely
Frankfurt have scored six goals in two away games in the Bundesliga 2026/2027 and have avoided defeat in both, so both teams to score looks a great alternative to the match result here.
Adi Huetter will set his team up in a compact three-at-the-back system to ensure they hit back at Leipzig with their counter-attacking game. Leipzig's pressing will try and pin them back, but if Frankfurt play with the quality they have shown away from home this term then this could be a real chess match with plenty of goals in it.
So, we're going with Both Team To Score – Yes in this contest and a small bet on Over 2.5 goals to accompany it. BTTS Yes is 1.36 and Over 2.5 goals is 1.3 at the time of writing.
