AFC Hornchurch host Kidderminster Harriers for their first ever National League meeting at Hornchurch Stadium on Saturday and it could be a thrilling match with two teams full of promotion highs coming off the field. Daryl McMahon's side have a real structure, discipline and a nasty set-piece edge and they have risen up the English non-league pyramid with a bit of everything.
The Urchins' set-up almost always has a three-man backline, two wing-backs and a number 10, but they play high pressure and are very adept at getting numbers forward in transition when they have the ball. McMahon's men came through the National League South play-offs in 2025-26 with a 2-0 win and they eventually nicked Torquay United 3-2 after extra-time in the play-off final at Wembley.
