Middlesbrough secured a narrow 1-0 win away to Queens Park Rangers at the weekend to get their Championship 2026/2027 back on track after a 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup 2026/2027 last Thursday.

Boro were expected to roll over Queens Park Rangers, but had to scrap for victory in the end.

Middlesbrough are the clear favorites here at 1.87, but Millwall are a decent price at 3.81 and the draw is a reasonable price at 3.6, but I expect the hosts to have too much for the visitors at the Riverside Stadium.

With Millwall playing so well recently, a straight win bet might not be the way to go, but there's a solid alternative with some value.

Millwall had a disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to Newcastle in the EFL Cup 2026/2027, and had earlier bounced back in style with a 4-0 home win over Bolton Wanderers in the Championship 2026/2027. With Neil's men sitting in the top half of the table, this has a top half game feel about it.

Millwall have split their first two away games in the Championship 2026/2027, with a win and a loss. The Lions have scored three goals in their two away days so far, averaging 1.50 goals per game away from home this season. Neil's side are more versatile than Boro, mixing possession, physicality and bursts of transition football to switch up the state of the game.

Middlesbrough should have the better of this game at home, but with Millwall in mixed form, the odds on the visitors look too big and this should be a tough game for Boro, rather than a stroll in the park.

The Boro have won both home games in the Championship 2026/2027, scoring five goals in two matches, and they'll be keen to get at the Millwall defence. I'm going for Middlesbrough to win and both teams to score on Tuesday night.
