Boro come into this game on the back of a two-game winning streak after a 3-1 victory at home to West Bromwich was followed by a 3-1 success at League One Doncaster Rovers in the cup, although they had lost 2-1 at Blackburn Rovers a week prior to that. QPR also come into the game on the back of a decent result after recording a 2-1 win at Blackburn a fortnight ago, and that was followed by a 0-0 home draw with Bolton Wanderers a week ago.

QPR's approach
Julien Stephan's side should be easy to play against as he has a clear identity. He's been in charge since 25 June 2025 and has installed a possession-first approach with a compact mid-block and a team that plays quick and vertical when they regain possession. His side will play around wing overloads and look to take advantage of turnovers, while Ilias Chair is his most dangerous man with two goals from three in the Championship 2026/2027.
Boro's approach
Kim Hellberg is a newer addition to the Championship with his appointment coming in at the end of November last year, but he's got Boro playing with real bite. Their high press has been turning high recoveries into fast, direct attacks. Boro's most dangerous player is Will Lankshear who has four goals in three games in this Championship 2026/2027 campaign, so he'll be a danger in the box.
