- Team form: Millwall have won two, drawn one and lost one of their four home games in the Championship 2026/2027, conceding just five goals.
- Away form: Lincoln City have won three and lost two of their five away games in the Championship 2026/2027, making them a serious threat on the road.
- Top scorer: Lyndon Dykes leads the Championship 2026/2027 scoring charts with four goals in eight games and has hit two in Millwall's last five.
Millwall a shade sharper and more stable
Tactical approach
Millwall will be a shade tougher to beat than their visitors to The Den on Saturday and, after a slight wobble, the Lions are getting back to their usual, solid selves. Alex Neil has led by example since taking charge on 30 December 2024, setting his side up to control territory, get compact and strike on the break via a disciplined and direct counter-attacking game and set-piece power.
However, there is a little bit more bite to them of late and they will be the likeliest winners against a Lincoln City side with games won (three) and lost (four) in the Championship 2026/2027.
Standings and odds
Millwall are eighth in the table with 14 points from nine games, so they are a couple of gears above the Imps in 15th, who have 11 points on the board. The Lions are priced up as 1.88 favorites to beat Lincoln, who are 3.81, with the draw at 3.55, but there could be more value in the home side given the Imps are on a two-game losing skid.
Imps are an energetic side
Chris Cohen took charge of Lincoln on 9 June 2026 and his Imps have played with real energy and aggression ever since, pressing the ball at a higher tempo and moving the ball faster in transition. It's quite a contrast to Neil's approach and should make for a fascinating chess match on Saturday.
Lincoln have lost 1-2 at home to Swansea City and 3-0 at Sheffield United in their last two and have won just two of their last five games in all competitions, with three defeats. They can be a threat on the counter, however, and should be able to make this a close game.
Home edge and league position should prevail
Lincoln can win away games, however, so there's more appeal in taking the Millwall or draw bet here than backing the home team to win outright, although the correct score bet is still on the hosts.
Freddie Draper is the top scorer for Lincoln in the league with two goals in eight, but he has scored half of his side's goals in their last five, so we'll take a 1-1 draw as the most likely outcome, although a Millwall win is closer in our eyes.
- Millwall have won one, drawn two and lost two of their last five in all competitions, but they did hold West Ham to a 2-2 draw at home and then edged Preston North End 1-0 away in their most recent two games.
- Lyndon Dykes is the main man for the hosts, leading the Championship 2026/2027 with four goals in eight games and scoring two in their last five.
