- Head-to-head: Rodina have won two of the last four head-to-head matches, Ufa have one win and one draw in the same period.
- Recent form: Rodina are unbeaten in their last two home matches (W1, D1) while Ufa have failed to win either of their last two away matches (D1, L1).
- Home/away records: Rodina have won eight of their 15 home matches in the FNL 2025/2026 (D6, L1) while Ufa have lost nine of their 14 away league matches (D5, L9).
Rodina can dominate in home waters
Rodina Moscow can dominate in their own backyard and that should see them to a comfortable home victory over 15th-placed FC Ufa on Sunday.
Rodina sit second in the FNL 2025/2026 table on 56 points from 30 games while Ufa are 15th with 31 from the same number of matches. Juan Diaz has done a decent job since taking over as head coach in September 2025 and has brought with him a Spanish-influenced 4-3-3 system that is possession-based with a patient build-up.
There is flexibility in the wide areas and the team can change shape to protect a lead, as they have done in some games recently. But they are at their most dangerous when in control of possession and will be tested by a Ufa side that likes to press with intensity and make the game fast.
Ufa will need to press forward and be patient
Coach and style
Omari Tetradze has done a good job at Ufa since taking over in January 2025 and his side play a pressing, transition-heavy style of soccer where they sit compact in midfield and try to force the opposition into errors before pouncing to score.
Match dynamics
This game could be a chess match with Rodina trying to keep possession and Ufa trying to force them into errors. The home team have the stronger recent form (W3, D1, L1), the greater attacking power and better home record, which should all combine for a home win.
Odds and key players
The 1.53 odds on the hosts are a bit high, but this is a mismatch with Rodina’s best player, Ivan Timoshenko, in form with three goals in his last five appearances and a Ufa team that have never won away at Rodina Moscow in recent meetings.
Goals and a home victory look likely
Over 2.5 goals looks good at 1.96, but we’re going to take both teams no goals at 1.7 because we believe Rodina’s defence will hold up and, if they get a couple, they won’t need to get many more against a Ufa that will have to throw men forward to try to win the game.
- Artem Maksimenko is Rodina’s top scorer for the season with 13 league goals and Timoshenko has hit form recently.
- Dilan Ortiz, with seven in 23, is Ufa’s top man and often the focal point of their attacks.
- But their away form has been poor with just 0.64 scored and 1.50 conceded per game on average, so they may struggle to get through Rodina’s defense.
