Revamp Revolution head north for Canadian clash
CF Montreal are a much improved side in 2026, but the appointment of Philippe Eullaffroy has not quite been the panacea fans expected. That's because they were in a slump prior to the draw with Toronto FC, while they come into this game on the back of an impressive victory over the high-flying Atlanta United.
Marko Mitrovic, who took charge of the Revs on 7 November 2025, has put his stamp on the side by encouraging them to play on the front foot and press aggressively. The difference in the quality of players on the pitch is clear, however, and the visitors sit sixth on the table with 29 points from 16 games while Montreal are 27th with 15 from 17.
That's why, even though the draw is short enough at 3.55 and the home team are only marginal favorites at 2.28, the superior table position and superior head-to-head record (New England have won the last two meetings in MLS 2026, including a 3-0 romp three months ago) make the Revs the correct choice at 2.84. Montreal have the home advantage and have won three of their eight home games in MLS 2026 this term, so there is reason to back them as the live long shot here.
