- League positions: The home team is top of League One with 66 points from 35 games and Hamilton Academical FC are ninth with 34 points from 35 games.

Hamiltion have enough firepower to hurt hosts
League One leaders Inverness Caledonian Thistle can justify their position as favorites against a Hamilton Academical FC side that has been showing a bit more spirit lately. The home side are 1.43 to claim all three points in this Saturday afternoon contest, but the visitors have shown enough in their last five matches to suggest they will not go down without a fight.
ICT are in good form with two wins, two draws and one defeat in their last five League One matches, but Hamilton have won three and lost two in the same period. The Accies are in the middle of a three-game winning streak after a 2-0 away win over Montrose and 3-1 home victory over Peterhead last time out.
Stewart has Hamilton’s tail up
Hamilton's improved attack
Darian MacKinnon has done an admirable job since taking over as head coach recently and his team have been much more positive going forward. Oliver Shaw is the main man up front and he has 19 goals in 32 appearances in League One, while Alfie Stewart, who has two goals in Inverness’s last five, has provided some good supporting roles. They will surely trouble a decent Inverness CT defence.
Inverness' style
Scott Kellacher has got the Inverness boys playing a clear style since taking over in October 2024 and their high-pressing, direct approach has seen them rack up 12 wins in 17 home matches.
Hamilton can find a way to trouble hosts
Tactical battle
It has been an impressive achievement, but Hamilton should be able to find some joy in this contest as they are a possession-based team that likes to build up their play from the back in a fairly pragmatic manner. They will try to play down the wings through their wing-backs, but ICT’s high tempo could cause Hamilton problems if they try to hold onto the ball for long periods of time.
Transitions and pressing
Both teams have been pressing high lately, but the difference will be that ICT’s direct play and constant tempo should be more likely to force mistakes and create chances on the break. The midfield battle and transitional phases could decide this one, but it should be a goal fest.
Prediction and key players
- The hosts average 3.0 goals per game when Hamilton visit and the Accies average 1.5 when on their travels in their last five encounters, so there is enough evidence there to suggest the odds on Over 2.5 goals and Both Teams to Score are good value.
- Inverness average 2.12 goals-per-game at home and have scored 36 in 17 home games in the league this term while Hamilton have hit 27 in 17 away games, so I’m going for a 2-1 home win with BTTS - Yes and Over 2.5 goals my main selections.
- Zimba is the main threat for ICT with 11 in 31 League One games while Shaw has 19 in 32 for Hamilton.
