- Nashville form: Nashville SC have won four and drawn one of their last five matches in all competitions
- Philadelphia form: Philadelphia Union have won four and drawn one of their last five games
- Nashville home form: Nashville SC are unbeaten at home in MLS 2026, winning 14 and drawing one of their 15 games
Nashville’s nice at home
Nashville SC are the pace setters in MLS 2026, sitting top of the table with 70 points from 31 games, and they will be very tough to beat on home soil when they take on Eastern Conference rivals Philadelphia Union at Geodis Park on Thursday.
BJ Callaghan's men are the only team left with an unbeaten record on home turf in MLS 2026, although their draw with Atlanta United in July remains part of that unbeaten record.
Nashville have gone unbeaten in their last two at Geodis Park to keep the Boys In Gold humming along nicely for their home fans, but a 4-0 home win over Sporting Kansas City, a 1-1 draw at San Jose and a 2-0 away win at CF Montreal in their previous three outings were even better.
Union have a real finisher
Nashville form and key man
Callaghan's side have been in excellent shape recently, but perhaps even more impressive is the fact that they have been consistently the best team in the division anyway. Hany Mukhtar has been in great form, scoring five of Nashville SC's 11 goals across their last five in all competitions.
Philadelphia outlook
Philadelphia Union have work to do if they want to catch up to the leaders, currently sitting 11th in the MLS 2026 table after taking 46 points from 30 games. They have been in good form of late, winning four and drawing one of their last five in all competitions, but will need to go better than their previous games against Nashville SC.
- The Boys in Blue have failed to win either of their two previous away head-to-heads and Nashville have won three of the last five meetings, losing only once.
- Philadelphia Union's Milan Iloski has been in tremendous form, netting seven of the Union's 14 goals in their past five in all competitions.
- He is their danger man in the final third with 16 goals in 27 MLS 2026 appearances.
Nashville can take it
Nashville SC to win looks a strong play on Thursday given their unbeaten home record and league-leading standing, but I'm going to be more cautious and take the draw no bet odds.
Ryan Richter has the Union pressing high and hunting turnovers with their quick-transition game, while Callaghan's team like to control possession, counter-press and shift their shape, so the midfield battle should be very spicy.
Over 2.5 goals is my preference in the total goals market as both teams should have enough in the tank to keep the scoreboard busy. Philadelphia Union have scored 34 away goals in 2026, an average of 2.27 per game, while Nashville SC have an average of 3.00 scored and 0.80 conceded per game.
