- Recent home form: Dundee FC have won 2, drawn 2 and lost 1 of their last 5 home games in all competitions (W2, D2, L1).
- Home/away goals: Dundee FC have scored 1.60 goals per game at home in the Premiership 2026/2027, while Kilmarnock have conceded 1.75 goals per away game.
Direct, physical encounter expected at Scot Foam Stadium
Form and table:
Kilmarnock have been inconsistent with their results this season, but their performance levels have varied too, so Dundee FC and Neil McCann's Killie should be in contrasting moods when they face off at Scot Foam Stadium on Wednesday.
The Ayrshire club are 11th in the 2026/2027 Premiership table with eight points from their first nine matches, so they are definitely in need of a boost if they are to climb out of the danger zone.
Key players:
McCann has done a good job since taking charge on 6 January 2026, making the Killie set-up more compact and compact and adding some more structure to their transition play.
George Stanger is the leading scorer in the 2026/2027 Premiership with one goal from seven appearances – and the club desperately needs more bite.
Greg Kiltie has chipped in with two goals in Killie's last five while the Killie have scored six during that run – so they won't be entirely without hope when they take on a side.
Dundee have the edge, but both teams should score
Dundee, who have a similar goal threat to Killie with Bradley Fink getting three in the last five, are fourth in the 2026/2027 table with 14 points from nine games. That represents a strong start to the season that has put them in the mix for a top-four finish.
Steven Pressley has overseen Dundee's rise since taking over as head coach on 2 June 2025 and his high-octane, direct, low-possession game has made them more dangerous – particularly on set pieces.
Dundee's Joe Westley has been in the form of his life with three goals in seven 2026/2027 games, but there is little to separate the sides in the head-to-head so we are siding with the Dark Blues to edge this one at 1.9, although it should be close enough for both teams to get on the scoresheet at 1.57.
- Dundee have played some excellent soccer in recent weeks, particularly in their 2-1 home win over Motherwell, 2-1 away win at Falkirk and 2-2 home draw with Rangers, but Kilmarnock are a gritty unit as well and could make this an edgy encounter.
- Killie have won one and lost one of their last two away games and Dundee have had one win and two draws in their past three at Dens Park.
