- Table position: Leicester are 13th in League One 2026/2027 with 15 points from 11 games, while Stevenage Borough are 12th with the same points tally
- Recent form: Leicester City have won 2 and lost 3 of their last 5 matches, although they did trounce Bromley 4-0 in their last away game
Boro can bite in a close encounter at the King Power
Leicester City are as short as 1.78 to beat Stevenage Borough at King Power Stadium on Saturday, but that is way too short given this is a clash between two similar-sized clubs in the same league. The Boro are 4.2 to win with the draw available at 3.75, although we are in two minds about that because the value in the odds may be offset by the close nature of this contest.
This clash, which will see two clubs that are close to each other in the table, is an interesting contrast of styles as Russell Martin has Leicester playing a possession-based game with some patient build-up phases, while also being capable of counter-pressing and pressing hard when it all clicks.
Alex Revell has Stevenage playing on the front foot, which means they press high and try to win the ball back in the opposing half, then transitioning quickly to catch the opposition on the break. They also deliver plenty of crosses and are happy to give it a go.
Foxes are inconsistent, while Boro have had a rocky road
Leicester form
Leicester are behind in the standings but are a lot more inconsistent in their performances so far, which is probably why they are so short to defeat Boro. The Foxes won 4-0 at Bromley a couple of weeks ago before losing 2-1 at Luton in their most recent away game. They have won two and lost three of their five home games in League One 2026/2027 and have been leaking goals at the rate of two per game at home.
Stevenage form
Stevenage are coming off a 2-0 loss at Bradford and a 1-0 home defeat to MK Dons today, which were either side of a 3-0 home win over Plymouth. But they have been more consistent than Leicester, winning three and losing two of their previous five, and have been better on the road than at Broadhall Way in 2026/2027.
Recent meeting
So the Boro can get something from this game and will certainly come and bite the hosts after beating them 2-1 in the EFL Trophy 2026/2027 a fortnight ago.
Boro have goals in them while Foxes have playmaker
Stevenage have scored six goals away in League One 2026/2027, while Leicester have conceded two goals per game at their place, so both teams to score at 1.7 is the pick here as this will be an open, transition-based game.
- Emil Riis Jakobsen is Leicester's main man up front with two goals in three League One 2026/2027 games and three in his last five, while Wanya Marcal-Madivadua has chipped in well for Stevenage with two of their six goals in the last five.
- Leicester's playmaker is Sammy Braybrooke, who has three assists in his side's last five games, during which time the Foxes have hit the net nine times.
- Dan Kemp is Boro's biggest goal threat with three in seven League One 2026/2027 appearances, so it makes sense to take the both teams to score option at a pretty decent odds.
